Once you hold your Hydrean in your hand, listen to the detailed step-by-step instructions by clicking the links below.
Explore the Hydrean with your fingertip and feel the difference in elevation. There are three different types of intervals (grooves) all around the ring—short, medium, and long (1, 2, 3). You might also notice two longer elevations on opposite sides of the wheel (4, 5), with each of them curving in opposite directions. Once you can identify these areas, start by placing the thumb anywhere on the outside of the wheel and follow the directions below accordingly. Rotate your Hydrean in any direction to progress from one prompt to the next all at your own pace.
Listen to your body from within: emotions, pains, tensions, heat, etc. Welcome any observations, feelings or thoughts that might arise. There is no need to push anything away.
Focus on people and relationships: family, lovers, friends, or the people around you. If your mind focusses on any one person, stay with that person.
Sense the world around you: floor, light, temperature, air, mountains, woods, etc. Welcome any observations, thoughts or memories that might arise.
Long elevation I—The Dance
Focus all your senses—inwards and outwards—at once. It will feel as if your thoughts are dancing, moving freely between different feelings, emotions and memories.
